THE FINDINGS
Findings by The FactCheckHub show that the claim is FALSE.
When the video was segmented into keyframes using the InVID verification tool and the man’s face was analyzed, findings revealed that the man is not Seni Saraki as claimed in the viral posts.
Further checks led to a Facebook account owned by one Prince Shola Taoreed Oniru. The owner’s face matches exactly with the person in the viral video.
Even though the video was not found on his Facebook page, analysis of the Facebook account shows several photos and videos (such as here, here and here) where he was seen having fun with others.
Meanwhile, the media office of the former Senate President has debunked the claim in a press statement issued on Friday.
“What I want to tell you categorically, is that, the individual in that video is neither Saraki’s son nor relation and so, he cannot be his son by any means or in any way,” the statement by the Director General of the Saraki National Media Group, Earl Osaro Onaiwu, partly reads.
THE VERDICT
The claim that the viral video shows Saraki’s son spraying dollar notes on strippers is FALSE; findings revealed that the man seen in the video is not Seni Saraki.
