ON May 8, 2023, a Twitter user, Nungua Burnaboy (@Views09) claimed that Tiwatope Savage, professionally known as Tiwa Savage, is a Ghanaian following her live performance at the coronation of Britain’s King Charles III.
Tiwa Savage made history on Sunday, May 7, 2023 when she performed at the coronation concert of King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle in England making her the first Nigerian artiste that would perform at the royal coronation.
The tweet reads:
“Ghanaian Female Singer Tiwa Savage performed at coronation concert of King Charles III of England. Big win for Ghana and Africa, we are so proud of you”.
The tweet has garnered over 6,000 retweets, more than 80,000 likes and over 7.3 million views as of May 10, 2023.

Tiwa Savage is a Nigerian song-writer and musician who was born on February, 5 1980 and hailed from Lagos Island in Lagos State, Nigeria. It was until she was 11 years old when her parents decided to move to London, her biography on Tiwasavage.Africa managed by the Universal Music read.
She’s the only daughter and last child of her parents, late Alhaji Savage and Cecilia Savage. After high school, Tiwa savage started her musical career by joining popular artists like Mary J. Bling and George Michael as their backup artists, her biography on AllMusic further stated.
