Below are our rating patterns for our FACT GAUGE METRE RATINGS:
1. True:
This rating indicates that the primary elements of a claim is accurate and there is nothing significant missing.
2. Mostly True:
This rating indicates that the primary elements of a claim is accurate but needs additional clarifications as some of the auxiliary details surrounding the claim are inaccurate.
3. Half True:
This rating indicates that a claim has a significant element of both accurate and false information in it, that it cannot be tagged one way or the other.
4. False:
This rating indicates that the primary elements of a claim are verifiably false.
5. Mostly False:
This rating indicates that the primary elements of a claim are verifiably false, but some of the auxiliary elements surrounding the claim are accurate.
6. Miscaptioned/Misleading:
This rating is used in connection with element like photographs, infographs, videos, texts, data, quotes etc that are real but placed in a wrong context, accompanied with a false explanation or manipulated.
7. Unproven/Inconclusive:
This rating indicates that the evidence publicly available as at the time the fact-check report was published neither proves nor disaproves a claim. Thus, more research is needed.
