A video circulating online claims to show Ramon Olorunwa Abbas, also known as Hushpuppi, spraying dollar bills at singer, Davido’s wedding in Miami, Florida.
The 59-second clip, posted on X by user @jbrandyofficial, features Hushpuppi and Davido dancing while showering foreign currency on a couple, with Davido seen filming on his phone.
The video included on-screen text which reads: Hushpuppi attends Davido’s wedding in Miami spraying $100 bills – Hushpuppi granted a brief release to attend Davido’s wedding.

The video was captioned:
“Hushpuppi attends Davido’s wedding in Miami spraying $100 bills Money na water.”
Since the claim was posted on Sunday, August 10, it has garnered over 500,000 views, 6,100 likes, and 852 reposts.

Davido and Chioma, who traditionally married in June 2024 in Lagos, recently tied the knot again in a lavish white wedding in Miami, Florida. The event, held over the weekend, drew widespread attention online, with videos of their arrival, the venue setup, and celebratory moments getting views across platforms.

THE FINDINGS
Findings by The FactCheckHub show that the claim is MISLEADING!
A Google Lens search on screenshots from the video revealed multiple earlier versions. The earliest dated February 2020 was uploaded on YouTube by Tooexclusive and Made4NaijaTV.
The nearly six-minute clip, titled “Watch Hushpuppi Spray $100 Bills at Davido’s Brother’s Wedding in Dubai,” shows Hushpuppi attending the lavish white wedding of Adewale Adeleke, chairman of HKN Music and Davido’s elder brother, and his fiancée Kani at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
In the footage, Hushpuppi can be seen spraying $100 bills on the couple, a moment he also shared on his social media, drawing praise from his followers.
On February 2, 2020, Adewale Adeleke married his fiancée, Kani, in a lavish white wedding at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Boomplay reports that Hushpuppi was part of the guest list.

Ramon Abbas, also known as Hushpuppi, was arrested in June 2020 by Dubai police in the “Fox Hunt 2” operation, seizing over $40 million in cash, luxury cars, and electronics.
Extradited to the United States the following month, he later pleaded guilty to money laundering charges linked to multimillion-dollar scams targeting law firms and an English Premier League club.
On November 8, 2022, a U.S. court sentenced him to 11 years and three months in prison and ordered him to pay about $1.73 million in restitution to two victims.
