A VIRAL post circulating on social media claims that a video showing physical altercation between two people at a busy commercial complex with parked cars occurred in Lagos State.
The claim was posted on X by a user, @Goodnationz, with the caption: “Lagos is just full of drama.”
As of July 29, 2026, the post has garnered over 1,100 views, 28 reposts, with people believing the claim to be true.

CLAIM
A viral video depicting a commotion between two adults took place in Lagos State.

FINDINGS
Findings by The FactCheckHub show that the claim is MISLEADING.
A reverse image search conducted on keyframes from the video by The FactCheckHub revealed that the incident did not occur in Lagos State, but in Abuja. The video was initially posted on Instagram on July 14, 2026, with its location tagged as Banex Plaza, Abuja. This was exactly two weeks before the poster attributed the incident to a different location.
Additionally, a keyword search conducted by The FactCheckHub found that ROGRACE Communication, as seen in the video, is a gadget store located at Banex Plaza, Abuja.
Furthermore, an on ground verification by The FactCheckHub’s ICT staff, Vincent Ioryoosu, who frequently visits Banex Plaza for gadgets and computer maintenance, confirmed that the location of the commotion is the Old Banex Plaza complex located in Wuse II, Abuja, near the United Bank for Africa (UBA) branch.

VERDICT
The claim that the viral video depicting a commotion between two people occurred in Lagos is MISLEADING. Reverse image searches and on ground verification by The FactCheckHub confirm that the incident actually took place at Old Banex Plaza in Wuse II, Abuja.
