A VIDEO posted by a verified X user @UNOFFICIALFACT purports to show a crowd in Kaduna destroying a campaign venue set up for Nigerian president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) party.
The post was shared with the caption:
“Tinubu campaign venues in the north is currently providing free firewood for angry northerners. With this level of rejection, destruction of campaign venues, i guess they will soon deploy at least 1000 soldiers wherever they go to campaign for Tinubu in the North. This is Kaduna.”
As of 4 September 2026, the claim has garnered over 70,000 views, 2,000 likes and more than 1,000 retweets.

CLAIM

FINDINGS
Findings by The FactCheckHub show that the claim is TRUE.
A reverse image search conducted by The FactCheckHub uncovered videos and images shared across social media platforms with the same narrative. The FactCheckHub traced the footage to TikTok, based on the account handle embedded in the video, indicating that it first surfaced on the platform.
To verify the context, location and authenticity of the footage, the original source was traced to TikTok, where multiple clips filmed from the same location were posted.
Further visual inspection of the uploaded clips confirmed key location markers and political branding. Campaign banners bearing the image of Uba Sani, the Kaduna State governor and a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), are clearly visible at the venue.

A review of the creator’s social media feed, alongside contextual indicators visible in the surrounding structures, confirms that the incident occurred in Kaduna State. The footage shows members of the crowd dismantling wooden staging structures at the campaign venue.
VERDICT
The claim that the video shows residents in Kaduna dismantling an APC campaign structure is TRUE. Findings confirm that the footage was recorded in Kaduna State and shows APC campaign banners bearing the name of Governor Uba Sani at the location.
