His interests lie in investigative reporting in areas such as the business and environment.

He has reported from multiple states in Nigeria as well as from several African countries.

Formerly a reporter with The Nation newspaper, one of Nigeria’s leading national dailies, Olugbenga has also worked for a US-based online newspaper – Global Village Extra.

Similarly, he has worked as a stringer for the African Development Bank (AfDB).

In 2018, he joined the International Centre for Investigative Reporting (ICIR) as a Senior Investigative Journalist, and later became a Researcher and Fact-checker for its fact-checking operation, The Factcheckhub.
