Opeyemi Kehinde is a Nigerian multimedia journalist and fact-checker, who is currently the Editor and lead of the FactCheckHub – the fact-checking arm of the International Centre for Investigative Reporting (The ICIR) in Abuja, Nigeria.
Aside from fact-checking, Opeyemi also leads the Digital & Social Media team of the ICIR.
Until April 2020, he was an Assistant Online Editor at the Daily Trust newspaper where he covered major Nigerian elections from 2011 till 2019.
With a journalism experience spanning over 15 years, Opeyemi is also an African Investigative Journalism Conference 2020 (AIJC2020) Fellow and a member of the Investigative Reporters and Editors, IRE.
He has a Higher National Diploma, Post-Graduate Diploma and Masters degree in Mass Communication and has attended as well as facilitated several media training and workshops.
He has special interests in New Media, Digital/Mobile Journalism, Fact-Checking, Development and Solutions Journalism.
