She was once the Team lead and Editor for FactCheckHub, an initiative of the International Centre for Investigative Reporting, ICIR that seeks to combat misinformation and fake news in Africa.
She did her first fact-check in May of 2016; ‘Herdsmen Attack: How Nigerian Newspapers Mislead Readers With Foreign Photos.’
She has produced digital contents for Daily Trust newspaper, PACFaH, Power FM Bida, NTA Bida, Leadership newspaper, Abuja Literary Society, St Paul’s Anglican Church, Nyanya, Ethiopian tourism board, BudgIT and Words Rhymes & Rhythm where she was the creative director.
She has reported from Ghana, Togo, Benin Republic, India and Nigeria.
Bamas serves as a core member of the African Science Literacy Network (ALSN) team; she is also a team member of the Abuja Literary Festival which organises the annual literary festival tagged ALitFest.
She was part of the Daily Trust team that won a 2015 WANIFRA young reader prize for their Read2Grow project.
